Every day we know new beneficial effects of breastfeeding. Granada University researchers have analyzed a relationship so far not explored between breast milk and muscle fitness confirming that breastfeeding improves physical adolescence condition.

More than 2,500 adolescents mothers were asked how they had been fed infants of breastfeeding were asked how long and then various physical condition tests were performed to evaluate aspects such as aerobic capacity and muscle strength.

Results showed that adolescents who had been breastfeeding presented muscle stronger legs than those who had received artificial feeding. In addition, how much more time had been breastfed more muscle strength were.

The study published in Journal of Nutrition concludes that breastfeeding, either exclusively or combined with other foods was associated with increased performance in the horizontal jump in children, regardless of factors morphological as fat mass, the teenager tall or the amount of muscle.

This kind of research should be interpreted with caution, but it is interesting that a new advantage so far not investigated as an improvement in the condition in adolescence her relates to breastfeeding.
